Lucky lottery players are set to have a very merry Christmas after the National Lottery guaranteed it would create 50 overnight millionaires this December.
Millionaires Month will be launched in the coming week with a special EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle next Friday that will see 18 lucky players guaranteed to win £1 million.
The raffle will continue changing one player's life every Tuesday and Friday until December 23, when 25 ticketholders will be given an early Christmas present they will not forget.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "This is going to be a month of creating overnight millionaires non-stop, which means 50 new millionaires will see out 2011 in style.
"EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle has already contributed more than 166 millionaires to the total of more than 2,700 created by The National Lottery to date, now a further 50 millionaires are guaranteed to join that exclusive club before Christmas."
EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle is a UK-only game that is part of EuroMillions and dishes out £1 million to two ticketholders every week. Lottery players have to match the three raffle letters and six raffle numbers at the bottom of their ticket.
With £1 million in their pockets, winners can fly first class from London to New York with a friend more than 50 times, stay for seven months in the Harlequin Suite at The Dorchester hotel in Mayfair, or rent the 280ft yacht The Annaliese for a fortnight.
