Countries around the world are celebrating Christmas in their own style, from the National Christmas Tree lit by President Obama and Kermit the Frog in Washington DC, to a tree made out of bicycles in China.

This year many festive folk are thinking outside the box and using the word 'tree' loosely. No material is too unusual it seems - from Lego bricks, to lobster traps, to old bicycles.
