Tube Dancer Is Thrown Off London Underground (Video)

Huffington Post UK   First Posted: 16/12/11 13:49 Updated: 16/12/11 13:58

Amateur footage of a man dancing wildly on the London Underground before being thrown off by an irate passenger has emerged.

The clip was filmed on a Central Line carriage last week and sees the man throwing shapes for nearly eight minutes before he is thrust out the doors at Leytonstone station.

His ejector is a smartly-dressed passenger who is seen in the clip quietly observing him as he munches on a sandwich.

Once he's finished eating, he turfs out the hapless dancer, while onlookers are heard shouting “No, no”. In a final indignity, the man thrusts his middle finger at the performer, who is doubtless sprawled on the platform.

His unceremonious exit has become a talking point online with one angry viewer describing the incident as “assault”, while another praising the ejector as having “brilliant timing”.

The video comes just after another viral clip that featured an angry passenger frogmarching an alleged fare dodger off the train.

Why the hate?

this is funny.
and he wasn't harming anyone. BUT
when the BBC radio1 stops saying where are you from, and uses where are you off of? and it becomes the norm, then it opens the door to having whole carriages full of dancing fools, which after reading some of the comments on here, might be against the health and safety due to the rythmic changing of the trains centre of gravity.
If in this sober world you can't laugh at a drunk man who gets shrugged off a train after over eight minutes of bad dancing, although he managed to turn around and face outwards for the stations (showing off his moves), then you need to move somewhere sunny and get the drinks in.

Looks staged to me!

that is assault. the guy was harming no one, the train was not that packed, he didn't even bump anyone. what does it matter if he dances in fact it would liven up a journey that would otherwise be boring. the person that did that could have killed him, what if the guy fell inbetween the plaform and the train, what if he landed on his face? it is assault and is dangerous.

you are also not supposed to eat smelly food on the tube, his minging sandwich may have affected other passengers he didn't get pushed off.

I agree, but I doubt the authenticity of the video. I think they were all in on it.

Looks like a set up to me. Ithink that those filiming it and the guy dancing and the guy who ejected the dancer are best mates. Great stunt.

am i the only one who found it genuinely funny? yes i considered that he may have learning difficulties but assuming that's not the case, i find the whole video funny from his dancing to his ejection and everyone's reactions. i don't think anything too sinister was going on considering everyone had a laugh about it. could be wrong but that's my opinion.
16:38 on 18/12/2011
You are right, it just made me laugh too :)
20:15 on 18/12/2011
Well, if people laugh, it must be funny? Are you serious?

but that's not what i said, is it? i said they all laughed so i don't THINK anything too sinister was going on. they didn't look like disrespectful people did they? i agree it wasn't necessary to push him off but the whole video made me laugh. and as i said, all that is assuming that this man didn't have learning difficulties which i did consider.

Good for him
The mad dancer was well over the limit and was unaware of the disruption he caused.
Dump the nutters.
It's the only way.

It was an assault ............... but a funny one. The lesson to learn is that drugs do not make you a good dancer and there will always be critics.

that was an assault

It's just funny isn't it? No need to charge anyone with an offence, I'm sure the dancer will have a great story to tell his mates when he sobers up.

Are people doing things like this to get on the internet .?
... sad world .
00:45 on 18/12/2011
I seriously hope the lad did'nt have any learning difficulties which may have left him confused when he was ejected early from his destination. Would like some post to confirm he was ok.....
What exactly was he doing to everyone exept being slightly annoying? Where have peoples tollerance gone?? Seriously I would smile if I had seen him and been pleased for his happiness in this sober world !

Apparently smartly dressed bully was jealous because he is a repressed jerk who wouldn't be able to look that cool dancing in public, ever.

Cool is in the eye of the beholder. He looked pretty cool to me. But then, I think anyone who looks like they are enjoying themselves look pretty cool.

I live in Paris though, where people think the inverse is true. Expressionless faces staring down at the ground as they plod through the city streets, thinking they are so cool. To me, they look boring and so uncool.
