David Cameron To Be Given Special Prime Ministerial iPad App

Prime Minister On The Move? There's An App For That

Are you a prime minister in desperate need of up-to-date information on what is going on across all your government departments? Well there's an app for that.

According to The Times, Cabinet Office officials have been tasked with creating a special iPad app for David Cameron that will keep him abreast of NHS waiting-list figures, crime statistics, unemployment numbers and other key bits of government data.

The prime ministerial iPad is also used to keep a watchful eye on the news as it unfolds throughout the day, with Cameron said to be a fan of the ConservativeHome blog and political tracking website PoliticsHome.

The app is due to be unveiled in March. Officials say it may also be made available to the public, meaning it is unlikely the app will contain security sensitive government information.

A shame, as HuffPoUK quite likes the idea of the prime minister controlling the movements of Britain's armed forces via strokes on his iPad.
