Dog Bouncing Up And Down Through Wheat Field May Be The Happiest Hound Ever (Video)

Huffington Post UK   Alastair Plumb First Posted: 16/01/12 10:19 GMT Updated: 17/01/12 08:52 GMT

What's the happiest dog in the world? Sorry, who's the happiest dog in the world? It's one hell of a question, and we're just the guys to try and answer it.

Emphasis on try there, perhaps - after all, everyone who loves their dog are going to say it's theirs, aren't they?

We ask this question of questions because a video of a very excitable pooch jumping up and down around a field of wheat has gone viral online, and now we're wondering who could match him in the happy hound stakes.

Some may argue the bouncing dog is just trying to see above the wheat - and to be fair, that's probably the case - but would he do it if he weren't happy? Well, exactly. Kind of. You see what we're getting at anyway - videos of dogs looking chuffed are wonderful.

Below we've compiled some of our favourite manic mutts for you to compare and contrast this doggy with, but if you've got any of your own favourites that we've missed, let us know and we'll add them to our little collection here. Scout's honour.

Super happy dog! Running through the wheat is a great belly rub for the dog. My doxie mix does the same thing on longer grasses; he can still see, but runs and jumps around because it feels so good!

Most dogs do that, it just most owners have a little bit more respect for the farmers crop.

Somehow, I feel the crops will survive this terrible ordeal. Pray for them.

And this is why I am not a cat person, great videos of the soldiers coming back home and the reaction of their loyal friends.

the dog I had when I was a kid used to do the same thing, only he was chasing rabbits. Sadly, he never caught one, but he spent a lot of time on the hunt.

I had a dog that did the same.It would jump through the fields of wheat to make birds fly and then chase them. The only way he could see them was to jump in the air !!

Well, there's always one dreary pedant and today it's me. It's a field of barley, not wheat.

Tah-Daah!

Ci lawen, though.

Looks to me as though the owner is whistling the dog to flush rabbits.
