Tattoos have come a long way since the days when 'Mum', and 'love and hate' were the most common sights on some bruiser's forearms.
These days you're more likely to see designs including celtic swirls and other mystical imagery adorning any available pieces of flesh and... Alf Garnett.
Yes, West Ham FC's most famous fan is just one of the many celebrity faces that can be bought at the Skunx tattoo parlour in North London along with other equally perplexing choices including the fictional detective Hercule Poirot and comic priest Father Ted as well as more understandable stars such as Marilyn Monroe.
Dave Morby, 51, who had the image of Alf Garnett from BBC Comedy Till Death Us Do Part tattooed on his arm by artist Nick Reid, told The Huffington Post UK it took seven and a half hours to complete the sitcom character's face.
Although it seems like a odd character to have permanently etched into his skin, Morby said that it reminded him of his dad. An avid Hammers supporter, the scarf was also a personal symbol, and another way of making the body art even more original.
Take a look through our tattooed mugshots gallery. Can you guess who the faces are?
