Coronation Street lesbian Sophie Webster will not question her sexuality again, soap bosses have said.

A source had reportedly claimed the teenager would face confusion as she struggled to deal with loneliness following the departure of her two loves, Sian and Amber Kalirai, and would find comfort in the arms of men.

But a Corrie spokesperson said "There is no truth whatsoever in claims that Sophie will question her sexuality again. We don't know where this rumour has come from."

Sophie - played by 19-year-old Brooke Vincent - was dumped by her fiancee Sian (Sacha Parkinson), who fled the street after discovering Sophie had fallen in love with her straight friend Amber.

Amber, played by 21-year-old Nikki Patel, is now being written out of the show, leaving Sophie alone and broken-hearted.

The only news I'd like to hear about this character is that she's leaving the show.

Sometimes you just want a bit of light relief from the heavy news items, and anyone with any intelligence will know the report is referring to a tv programme. Lighten up maybe?

Its not reality, its just a soap,so who really cares? Absolutely pathetic post, there are more important things to report on in the REAL world.

Ohh so its the character not the actress.... Thought another person was being bullied due to their sexuality and was wondering what the justification would be this time, my error.
