Sadie Frost: 'Hacking Made Me Suspicious Of Jude'

'I Was Suspicious Of Jude'

Sadie Frost has admitted her phone hacking ordeal left her suspicious and wary of ex-husband Jude Law after their divorce in 2003.

The former couple are two of the most high-profile celebrity victims of the scandal, which led to the closure of the News of the World last year when the full extent of the tabloid's hacking practises came to light.

Jude Law sued Rupert Murdoch's News International over claims his mobile phone's voicemail messages had been listened to between 2003 and 2006 and he accepted £130,000 in damages, while Frost received £50,000.

The actress has now admitted the pair's divorce was made even more difficult when aspects of their private lives hit the headlines because they both suspected each other of being behind the leaks, and it led to a complete breakdown of trust.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Sadie says: "I think there was a lot of other stuff to do with the break-up that was and has been reported recently. Because of the phone hacking, when we split up there was a lot of suspicion on both sides directed towards each other.

She now boasts of having a brilliant relationship with her ex-husband, who she classes as a sibling figure.

The star adds: "Jude and I were together for 10 years and we've been separated for almost eight now.

"We have to love our children so we have to love each other. He is one of the most important men in my life because he is the father of my kids.

"We're really quite close now. We're like brother and sister. It's that sort of affection, that brotherly sisterly relationship."

The pair wed in 1997 and have three children together.
