Michael Jackson's sister La Toya has thrown her weight behind allegations an impostor was hired to record tracks for the King of Pop's posthumous album, insisting some of the vocals featured are "definitely not" those of her late brother.

A report on TMZ.com last week caused a stir among fans after editors claimed Paris Jackson had been caught telling a friend via video chat that the 2010 release, Michael, was recorded by a mimic who had been drafted in to complete her father's songs.

In a clip obtained by the website, Paris allegedly played the track Hold My Hand and when asked by her unnamed pal why the voice on the tune didn't sound like her father's, she revealed: "It's not him... the whole album isn't even him!! Go online... go on YouTube and look up Jason Malachi. That's him!! I should know if it's him (Jackson) or not because he would sing to me all the time."

The 13 year old immediately dismissed the story, taking to Twitter.com to write: "People should know by now not to believe the media when it comes down to TMZ talking about my family. Hold My Had (sic) IS my dad actually singing."

But now La Toya has questioned her niece's logic by revealing that Paris actually called her in a panic after discovering the posthumous tunes were allegedly bogus.

During a co-hosting stint on US daytime show The Talk on Monday, La Toya Jackson recalled: "I haven't heard the complete album but I do know some of the songs that I've heard, it is definitely not his voice."

Recalling the phone conversation with Paris, she explained: "During that time I was doing (reality show) The Apprentice and Paris called me and said, 'Aunt La Toya, I want you to listen to something... You gotta listen to this, this is not daddy's voice.'

"She played it for me and I go, 'Paris, you're right, it's not.' And I kept listening, and kept listening and it was not his voice and she was so concerned about it and she said, 'We gotta put a stop to this. We must to put a stop to this. And I'm not gonna let them (record executives) get by (get away) with this.'

"This is a little girl, and this is the way she thinks because she loves her father and she didn't wanna see that out there when it wasn't her father's voice. And she went on to say this is the person who impersonates him and he's very good at it."

It's funny how the vocals on this album are just now surfacing in the seat of inquiry. I've known for some time now the vocals on "Cry" aren't him; some perhaps, but not all! "Hold My Hand" is definitely him.

Edweck929 and others like him are but victims of Willful Ignorance, a media-made addiction that ravages society by numbing independent thought! For nearly 40 years, the tabloids and their carnival barking hucksters peddled a fraudulent but highly profitable version of Michael Jackson as wacko, weirdo, freak, and predator. Like the snake oil salesman hawking tinted but tainted elixir, the anti-Jackson pitch was awesome, but the product totally bogus. Yet, the public paid the hawker, swallowed the bilge without question, and begged for more. With time and repetition, fiction eclipsed fact and we didn’t know the difference – or care. No fact, no proof, no appeal to reason penetrated the stubborn conviction to believe the worst without question – because it was in the paper, on TV or radio with reporters citing unnamed or invisible sources.

Michael Jackson is dead – but not before stuffing media and music industry coffers to overflowing; making careers for the deserving and undeserving alike; feeding the bellies of staff, friends and enemies whose livelihoods depended on him alone; channeling his wealth to the least able to voice their hardship; and sharing his creativity with millions around the world. That one human life could be publically dissected, falsely branded, and trashed is an indictment of Big Media arrogance and misuse of power -- AND our gullibility and reluctance to demand better from the media we pay for. How long will we let media moguls drag us through the mud to sponsors who pick our pockets?

Hold My Hand was leaked in 2008; before Jackson died. He's singing on that track. There were 3 singles on that album that were in question...to paraphrase..."people should know by now not to listen to this particular sibling..." quite an attention seeker she is.

You are right Layne5. It was supposed to be on Akon's "Freedom" album which was released in 2008. Both Akon and Jackson were very disappointed that it leaked so did not put it on the album.

Just like the Kardashians....every one of the Jackson family need to go away. Can they not see that they are no loner relevant in entertainment? The fact that Michael was a child molester still sickens me and he should have been serving time, not being praised (or doubted) about work he may or may not have recorded.

Latoya must be mad they he left her nothing....

edweck929, I am bewildered by people like you who sling the "child molester!" charge around at this point in time. Where did all the molested children go? After all, nothing is stopping them from trying to get a slice of his Estate now that he is gone.

No, despite a thorough clandestine FBI investigation that yielded nothing; despite a decade long witch hunt on the part of an ambitious, unethical prosecutor that wasted millions of taxpayer dollars; despite that same prosecutor's use, over many years, of toll-free international hotlines dedicated to trolling for "victims;" despite all the money-for-­stories offered by the media; and even neverminding the characters of the two families who tried so dang hard to extort money (the first succeeded thanks to Jackson's insurance company, encouraging the second)--- there is not a single shred of evidence that he seduced any child at any time. Not one.

Continuing to slander an innocent person with the particularly virulent taint of child molestation is a horrid crime in itself and you are wrong to engage in it. Do some research and educate yourself about this issue as intelligent people must before they spout opinions.

As for the Jacksons being "no longer relevant in entertainment": they reached the mountaintop shared by very few. Attached by God-given talent and hard work to some of the greatest American popular music there is, they cannot be removed from it on your or anyone else's say so. Their relevance is permanent.

I heard the whole alnum, I'm a MJ fan for years and years and can say it is DEFINETELY MJ on the album. LA Toya needs to shut up and respect her brother's wishes, he did NOT want her to have his money. Get over it and stop trashing everything good..

the album came out in 2010 so why are thay making a fuss over it 2yrs later? Why not make this fuss when the album first came out and force a recall of the album that would make this story seem 100% true ( im not saying the story is true or fales)

A fuss WAS made when the album first came out; some Jacksons said it was him on the three Cascio tracks, and some said it was NOT him. His nephew sang on one of the tracks; his brothers Marlon and Jackie were working for the Estate/Sony on the album; only LaToya (aka LaTonta) and Jermaine still cause a ruckus over this, but to bring his daughter into the fray and make gigantic misstatements concerning Paris is beyond the pale. Remember LaTonta on video saying "someone was in that house" (Holmby); the kids let him in, and then exhorting the audience to say the man's name; she couldn't say it herself or risk a slander suit. LaTonta, please go away, you were invisible while your brother was alive; please slink back into hiding and stop trashing his memory. RIP Michael.

Definitely not him. The power and energy in Michael's voice isn't there and the voice in the song has a warmer tone to it.

It's a shame as it's actually a pretty good song.

It is MJ on that track. As usual LT gets things wrong. The tracks in question were Breaking News, Monster and Keep Your Head Up. Recorded in New Jersey with Eddie Cascio. They should have released the demos, as is, and not over produced. Hold My Hand was recorded
with Akon and leaked before Jackson died. Slight changes on the released album version but that's MJ's vocal. Family made a big fuss about those songs even though Jackie was a consultant then (and now).

I agree that they should have been released as demos; Michael's demos are better than fully completed vocals by "today's" artists. The J family has been split since MJ's passing; the siblings we hear the most from have the least knowledge and just want to keep their names in the news, LT and JJ, listen up.

The Jacksons, particularly LaT and JJ, believe the tracks are fake, they believe Michael was murdered; they believe the will is a fake; so why don't they take their millions and have these matters pursued by professional investigation; on the fake will, it's easy enough to file a complaint against Branca with the California Bar Ass'n, why haven't they taken even that simple step? Don't want to bite the hand that feeds (all of) them? Shameful now LaT is using Paris to further her never ending agenda of riding the coattails of her deceased brother. If she cared about those kids, she would get them off twitter and encourage them to stick to their studies. But no, she actually CONFIRMED Paris' twitter address and now the girl has hundreds of thousands of anonymous friends telling her daily how beautiful she is. Any parents listening? Would you want that for your teenage daughter?

JermaineJ in his book admits he was a conduit through which Michael met Tohme in 2006-7; of course it was all about money and promoting yet another "Jermaine" plan; hope he sleeps well at night.

Why Michael ever named his mother as guardian of those children knowing the leeches around her I will never understand; with the drek in his life the last ten years, they were still the lesser of the other evils.

so it's not his vocals, that wasn't his face either but they still bought his albums.

a bit suss that all these claims it's not him singing on the album come out just as it has been revealed that all his back catalogue has been stolen by hackers
