Since it was founded in 1999, the Urban Dictionary has offered an alternative to your average dictionary by defining slang words and terms. Recently, as highlighted in the Guardian Books Blog, the site has redefined famous authors names in its own unique, and often controversial, style. According to their site What Whitman is slang for cocaine and Faulkner means 'from being a nerd, to getting all the hot girls'.
