Wales Beat France To Win Six Nations Grand Slam (GALLERY)

Wales beat France 16-9 to clinch their third Grand Slam in eight years.

Dimitri Yachvili's penalty in the first half was cancelled out by Alex Cuthbert's try, which was converted by Lee Halfpenny to give the Welsh a 7-3 lead.

Two penalties from Halfpenny and one from Lionel Beauxis made it 13-6 to the home side after an hour, as pressure began to mount from Les Bleus.

The French showed promise in the second half in their opponents' 22, but lacked the sharpness against a resilient Welsh defence.

Yachvili however reduced the deficit to four points with seven minutes to go, but Halfpenny's third successful kick effectively clinched Wales their 11th ever Grand Slam.

typical that we have to read the normal sour grapes rubbish that spills forth from the english everytime we the mighty WELSH trump them in rugby. your rfu gets way more money pumped into it than our wru and your team is still full of public schoolboys running around looking spiffing in their kit as they TRY to outwit the rest of the teams!! if england had won it the papers and news would have been bragging for weeks but because we won it we didn't even make front page of that comic 'THE SUN'.......say no more and accept you were beaten by a better team

Well done Wales! But are they really a great team are all the others going through a transition period. Lets wait and see this time next year before we add anymore superlatives

sour grapes boyo? perhaps if your rfu gets rid of the toffs and you stop singing that silly slave song(why do you sing a slave song anyway?) and knuckle down you might win something on merit rather than expect to win simply because your english and its 'expected'

I watched the match and I couldn't help but notice how bias the referee was towards the Welsh side, still a very good achievement with the grand slam.
