Otters Who Look Like Benedict Cumberbatch (PICTURES)

The Huffington Post UK  |  By Andrea Mann  |  Posted: 19/03/2012 13:41 Updated: 20/03/2012 13:24

If a picture speaks a thousand words, then the ones below possibly speak more than the complete works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Yes, thanks to the marvellous Red Scharlach, we can never now unsee the likeness between everyone's favourite Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch, and everyone's favourite furry semi-aquatic mammal, the otter.

Enjoy! And prepare for the next instalment: 'Puppies Who Look Like Martin Freeman'. We hope.

Too right old boy, bout time someone recognized this young lads talent. At playing a damn fine sherlock that is, and not at looking like otters... Pity the series's could not be longer.

I think him quite handsome. Wasn't he in Amazing Grace? I don't recall havin' seen him in anything prior to that. What struck me most was his beautiful eyes. Not Paul Newman, but still a handsome man. Life.

This needs to stop. I feel so bad for Benedict that this sort of thing is going viral.

This is an in joke for one of Benedict Cumberbatch's other roles in life, even though Sherlock pictures were used, the Otter's are in reference to an episode from the brilliant Cabin Pressure written by John Finnemore for BBC Radio 4.

The question is can a Otter imagine a 100 Sherlocks?
