Four-Legged Chicken Gives Chinese Woman The Heebie-Jeebies (PICTURE)

A Chinese woman preparing a chicken dinner promptly lost her appetite after realising her frozen bird had FOUR legs.

Tian Xiaoying had just unwrapped the poultry package when she noticed hints of fowl play…. in the form of two extra digits.

She told the Xiaoxiang Morning Post: “I dare not eat that chicken,” adding she was poised to throw it away.

Nor was she swayed by the opinion of Professor Li Anping, who told the paper the bird was harmless and perfectly edible.

Li, of the Central South University of Forestry and Technology, said: “The chicken embryo may have been affected by different kinds of factor such as radioactivity and developed a deformation.”

Would you chow down on the extra drumsticks or toss the bird?

There could be something in the water over yonder, as earlier this month Huffington Post UK reported on a five-legged bull frog’s close shave with a Chinese cooking pot.

The amphibian’s extra limb was spotted by a chef just before as he was destined for the dinner table.

Eating frogs is common in China, and frog leg soup is considered to strengthen one’s bones. However now the unusual looking frog has been handed into a zoo in Zhuzhou China.

Did they charge her extra for the two extra LIMBS (!), or was it just per piece or pound?

Infected by Trematodes

During its life cycle, the parasitic trematode depends on several hosts, including pond snails. Tadpoles in ponds with snails pick up trematode larvae, called cercariae. In some cases the cercariae develop into hard cysts, which interfere with the tadpole's metamorphosis into a frog. When the cysts occur in tissue that later develops into legs, the cysts disrupt the animal's normal development and cause duplicate or missing legs.

The trematode also affects people—although not so dramatically as in developing frogs. It's the same parasite that causes "swimmer's itch," a common ailment in people who swim in ponds and lakes. Eventually, the human immune system defeats the cercariae, leaving the victim with just a rash.

When i was a child my father bred chickens and we produced several thousand a week, in that number there are always deformaties. He was offered large sums of money for them by circuses and fair grounds but always killed them. I guess people just dont have the same morals as 60 years ago.Two heads, no eyes, the list was endless. It is all part of natures diversity and nothing to do with radiation.

My father used to do fishing trips around the bay in his spare time and when I asked him if two headed fish were anything strange he always said, nature will always have abnormalities.
Looking at some of our MP's, I know what he means now.

Forget about the chickens, how many humans here
in the UK are cancer ridden due to Chernoble. East Ayrshire
Scotland where i stay, suffered high levels of radioative fallout,

Same here in North Wales, wes. Relatively young people are developing cancer and I have lost some friends from it. It's all been swept under the carpet though.
