Titanic stars in Julian Fellowes' drama

Often when people think about the Titanic they think of James Cameron's 1997 epic film.

Enough people cared about the fates of Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio and their enduring love story to make the disaster flick the highest-grossing film of all time.

Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes' four-part ITV Titanic drama has the hard task of matching up to the movie and setting itself apart from a story that already seems like it has been told.

In the video above the cast of Fellowes' Titanic reveal whether they were worried about the show being compared to the film and explain why they think there's still a story that needs to be told.

Stephen Campbell Moore, who plays the ship's naval architect Thomas Andrews, reasons: "The great opportunity we have is to tell each individual character's story and how no one person was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic."

Watch the video above to find out what the rest of the cast think.

REVIEW: It could have been Fellowes' finest, but it's a damp squib so far

This drama is nothing like the film thank goodness! The film was far too long for one thing and didn't give us any detail re many of the characters on board. The acting in this is superb and the way that it comes across makes you want to see the next episode. My only complaint is that this is too short at 4 episodes.

"My initial feeling was 'Didn't they just make a really good film about it?'"

No... No they did not.

I don't remember having a chase / gunfight on the actual Titanic, for one. Soooo overrated.
