Cheryl Cole made her first foray onto La Croisette for this year's Cannes Film Festival - with a striking dress whose bright scarlet feathered train melted her into the red carpet.
The singer and sometime X Factor presenter joined other guests for the Sunday evening screening of Amour, at the 65th Festival.
Cheryl wows the crowds in a red and white dress, feathers and diamonds
Just as she stunned photographers with her classy ensemble last year, the British star pulled it off again on Sunday, with a white haute couture gown by Stéphane Rolland.
Cole has had a mixed year since she stole last year's Festival in a slightly more eye-popping white gown - a high-profile overseas gig ended in disaster when she was booted off the US X Factor by her on-off friend Simon Cowell, and she finally made legal moves to ditch her married name of Cole, following a seemingly final split from her errant footballer ex-husband.

But, on Sunday at least, it seemed that was all behind her, as she effortlessly paraded in Cannes, with red nails, bag and lips, and the odd dripping diamond. Cole's own big screen debut happens this week, (no, we're not counting St Trinians) when she appears in a cameo role in the Cameron Diaz/Jennifer Lopez rom-com What To Expect When You're Expecting.
Stars joining Cheryl on the red carpet on Sunday included Gael Garcia Bernal, jury member Diane Kruger, French actress Isabelle Huppert and this year's new Bond beauty Berenice Marlohe.
