A two-year-old boy has suffered serious facial injuries after being attacked by two dogs in Wiltshire, police said.

The toddler was mauled by the animals, which are believed to be Staffordshire Bull Terriers, in a back garden at around 6pm yesterday before being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

A 49-year-old man also received hand injuries during the incident at an address in Swanage Walk, Swindon.

Wiltshire Police said both dogs had been seized by officers. No-one has been arrested in connection with the attack yet, the force added.
