Nicole Scherzinger has been booked to fill the fourth chair on the UK's X Factor judging panel - it's official.

The former Pussycat Doll was sacked from her hosting/judging role on the US version earlier this year, but it seems that's only made the way for an improvement in her fortunes, after it was confirmed that she would be replacing Kelly Rowland on the UK talent show.

Life&Style reports that Scherzinger has accepted a reported$1 million offer to take Rowland's spot after impressing the show's bosses with her stint as guest judge during the London auditions last month.

UPDATE: It has now been reported Scherzinger will earn £750,000 from the deal, which is £250,000 more than what Tulisa is getting paid.

Sources told Holy Moly this is because of Scherzinger’s experience judging the US X Factor.

An insider said: "Nicole has played the long game on this. She was offered a £500,000 deal a week ago but kept her counsel and managed to get this bumped up by another £250,000. "

Another person who'll be happy will be the singer's boyfriend British racing driver Lewis Hamilton, as it means she will be based in the UK for several months.

X Factor has been a rollercoaster for Scherzinger. She was sharing hosting duties with Brit Steve Jones on the US version of the show last year, until she stepped in to replace Cheryl Cole, after Cole's unceremonious dumping by boss Simon Cowell just a few weeks after the first auditions.

Scherzinger was kicked to the kerb too, though, at the end of the series, along with Jones.

She will join series stalwart Louis Walsh on the panel, as well as last year's successes Gary Barlow and Tulisa Contostavlos.
