Ben is bidding for a fourth gold Olympic medal at four successive Games at London 2012, having also won silver at Atlanta in 1996.
The 35-year-old was also the first person to run in the London 2012 Olympic Torch relay when he completed the first leg of at Land's End in Cornwall back in May.
