The amazing sight of a car driving the wrong way up a Mississippi highway was caught by passengers travelling on the other carriageway. Not surprisingly, it was just a matter of time before Edward Fairley, the reckless driver in question, crashed into another car.
As WLTB reports, the driver and passenger in the SUV that Fairley collided with both walked away from the crash, while Fairley himself suffered a broken shoulder and non-life threatening injuries. Fairley now faces several charges, including reckless driving, and is awaiting toxicology results.
Rather alarmingly, according to Collins police chief Ronnie Dickinson, this sort of thing "happens all the time. It's not just the state of Mississippi, it's all over".
