Tube Services Face Massive Delays Again - With Just 9 Days Until Olympics

Tube Services Face Disruption Once Again

Tube services were badly disrupted again today - just days before the start of the Olympics.

A late finish to engineering work meant severe delays to those using the Circle and District lines in the early part of the morning rush hour.

Yesterday a fire alert at Charing Cross Underground station led to a part-suspension of the Bakerloo line.

Firefighters were called to Charing Cross following the smell of smoke on the line. A panel was being replaced before full services could start again.

Severe delays continued for several hours on the Bakerloo line on Tuesday.

There were also rush-hour delays today to London-bound main line services operated by the Southern train company.

This was caused by a broken-down train between Horsham and Warnham in West Sussex.
