Tom Jones And Jessie J 'Pull Out Of The Voice' Second Series

Lost Your Voice?

BBC bosses could be on the hunt for new The Voice mentors - Sir Tom Jones and Jessie J have reportedly decided not to return for a second series.

Along with rapper will.i.am and The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue, the two served as the all-star judges on the first season of the show, which aired earlier this year.

Viewing figures dropped following the blind auditions and Jessie J found herself at the centre of controversy after referring to the series as "lame" during a taping of The Graham Norton Show.

The Price Tag hitmaker is also said to have clashed with bosses over her wardrobe demands - and now she's decided to leave the talent series.

The Mirror reports the chart star and her fellow judge Tom have decided against signing up for season two, with Jessie instead opting to book concerts when filming dates are due to take place.

A BBC spokesperson says that talks with the four mentors are "ongoing".

The series has spawned a starry friendship between will.i.am and Danny - the singer recently revealed they've teamed up in the studio for new Script song Hall Of Fame.

Danny told The Sun, "I played Will a few demos backstage early on in The Voice. We got to Hall Of Fame and he immediately asked if he could have it for his new album, as it was exactly what he was looking for.

"I wasn’t having it; it was our lead single, but I asked if he’d be on it. He agreed and we booked in time to record it."
