Happy London Olympics Worker Becomes Viral Hit (VIDEO)

WATCH: It's The Happiest Olympic Volunteer Worker

The Olympics always throws up a few unlikely stars - and London 2012 has already done just that. Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to present... The Happiest Worker at the Games (so far), courtesy of YouTube.

This megaphone-wielding volunteer was filmed making an admirable attempt to crank up the excitement close to the Olympic Park ahead of Friday's Opening Ceremony. OK, her tone of voice may have suggested otherwise - but we think this Stratford superstar was clearly doing her utmost to get everyone in a celebratory mood.

We particularly like the way she suggests we'll all live long enough to be able to tell our great-great-great-grandchildren that we listened to the Olympics from outside the stadium. "It was faint, but I still heard a bit," she ad-libs. See? That's the spirit!

And if you're still not "feeling it" about the Olympics - despite this volunteer's sterling efforts - why not get inspired by our video slideshow of sport-loving animals? (Frankly, if a water-skiing squirrel can't make you break into a smile, we don't know what can.)
