Lego video games are pretty much the gift that keeps giving. What could have been one of the worst ideas in gaming - take beloved franchises, turn them into generic slapstick platformers - is nothing of the sort. In fact, the most recent title (Lego Batman 2) is among the year's best games.
So ahead of Gamescom 2012, which starts this week, rejoice as the trailer for the next installment - Lego: The Lord of the Rings - hits the internet.
It's everything you'd hope for from such a title - except for the niggle that once again the Lego minifigs talk. Which definitely shouldn't be allowed.
