Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson Rants At Sky Journalist Over Ryder Cup Question

Sir Alex Ferguson was not amused on Monday when a Sky Sports News reporter asked the Manchester United manager about Europe's Ryder Cup comeback against the United States at his Champions League press conference.

The Scot, an avid golfer, however rebuked his intrepid interrogator, a sure sign that had one not heard the weekend's result, you would surmise United had lost to Tottenham.

“Listen, listen. This is a press conference about a bloody football match,” Ferguson informed him ahead of United's Tuesday night match against CFR Cluj in Romania.

“You’ve got to go way over the top with your programme. I’m not answering that. We’re here to talk about football. Christ.”

Ferguson had no such issue talking about the Ryder Cup two years ago, however (note the sponsors in the background).

Jonny Evans was on Champions League joint-press conference duty with Ferguson for the first time in three years on Monday. At least his girlfriend wasn't in attendance in Romania...
