West Ham 3 - 1 Chelsea

Rafael Benitez's start as Chelsea manager took a disastrous turn as West Ham staged a second-half comeback with goals from Carlton Cole, Mohamed Diame and Modibo Maiga. Benitez left the pitch to chants of "sacked in the morning".

Arsenal 0 - 2 Swansea

Fulham 0 - 3 Tottenham

Sandro scored Spurs' first with Germaine Defoe scoring twice to give them their third win in a row.

Liverpool 1 - 0 Southampton

Daniel Agger scored the only goal of the game which left Southampton in the relegation zone.

Man City 1 - 1 Everton

City slipped to second place after briefly being top in the league despite being unbeaten this season. Carlos Tevez scored a penalty to cancel out Marouane Fellaini's goal.

QPR 1 - 1 Aston Villa

QPR are yet to win a game this season. Brett Holman scored for Villa after eight minutes before Jamie Mackie scored the equaliser.

West Brom 0 - 1 Stoke

Dean Whitehead scored for Stoke, their first away win of the season.

Reading 3 - 4 Man Utd

United stay top of the league after coming from two goals behind to win. Adam Le Fondre, Sean Morrison and Hal Robson-Kanu scored for Reading. Wayne Rooney scored two for United with Anderson and Van Persie providing the others.
