The Wanted's Max George has opened up about the band's friendship with Lindsay Lohan and despite partying with the actress, claims they have kept her out of trouble.
The British boyband were with the 'Mean Girls' star in New York last month when she was arrested for allegedly punching a female in the club where they were partying together.

But the boys have stood by the troubled star with band member Jay McGuiness even wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the message 'Free Lindsay' at a recent gig at New York's Madison Square Garden.
Now LiLo has been hanging out with the band as they play shows in the US but the lads say they're keeping her out of trouble.

"I think we've proved to ourselves, if we can stay out of trouble and keep her out of trouble this week, then we're obviously outstanding citizens of the community, and we've managed to do both, so I'm quite proud of that," Max told New York radio station, Z100.
But he also suggested LiLo is drinking again despite her numerous stints in rehab, saying: "She always brings vodka to the table, that's definitely one thing... It's fine. She's good company."
And in an interview with the Huffington Post in the US, Max claims that she still loves to party.
"I love that she can party nearly as hard as we can," he said. "We had a big night on the (tour) bus where Ed Sheeran came on with us and a few of our mates as well, and we just had one big party. It was great..."
"I'm sure she's got people around her that know her much better than we do. We're probably not the best influence, to be honest."
