Nintendo's Satoru Iwata Says Wii U Update Coming To Fix Slow Menus

Nintendo: Wii U Update Coming To Fix Slow Menus

Nintendo's new Wii U console has had a pretty good reception since its release last month - and we gave it a great review ourselves.

But it's been hard to ignore that in some key respects, it feels pretty unfinished.

In particular, the system has been blighted with slow loading times and menu delays which have taken some of the sheen off its fantastic new controller and games.

That could be about to change - according to Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata, the next system update is due in December and should be focused on fixing those slow loading times.

In a Nintendo Direct video primarily about the new Dragon Quest game, he said that the update would hit before the end of the year.

We'll look forward to it - in the meantime, we recommend the following Wii U accessories to make your new console even better.
