Daft Punk have been pictured without their famous helmets, after a snap was accidentally uploaded to Facebook.

The French DJing duo - real names Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo - are rarely seen without their robot helmets, but the pair can be seen sipping on champagne at their record label's offices in a candid snap.

It was posted on Facebook by New York-based electro pop duo The Knocks, who swifty removed it.

"Guess we weren’t supposed to post that pic,” they wrote.

But tumblr users screen-grabbed the pic, which soon began circulating on the internet.

The Knock have since spent time on Twitter denying that it was them who took the picture, insisting they are not signed to Columbia/Sony Records (where the photo was taken) and that the photo was online prior to their post.
