Ever have trouble getting up? Well you know what they say: "time is money".
In this case, literally.
A new customised alarm clock has been designed to shred money if you fail to wake up.
Designed to inspire a bit of morning energy from even the laziest of sleepers, the machine ruthlessly slices up your hard-earned cash if you fail to get up and turn it off.
Made by a Mr Rich Olson at Nothing Labs, the clock has hacked together from a few simple parts including a Sparkfun Clockit and a USB paper shredder.
It's based on a slightly more elegant (but also purely conceptual) design which hit the web a few years ago.
Take a look at the device in action, above.

"Five-year-old Tim Gregory wears, under protest, a brush that cleans a child's neck without the use of soap and water in Los Angeles, Calif., Jan. 12, 1950. The plastic collar brush will dry-clean the youngster's neck thoroughly as he plays. The brush was developed by the Los Angeles Brush Corp. at a mother's suggestion." What ever happened to a good old fashioned bath? (h/t Business Insider)
