2012 is most definitely London's year and thanks to the Jubilee and the Olympics, the city has seen enough openings to keep Londoners busy until 2014. However, it's not just the hotels and restaurants that have been getting in on the act.
Chanel is opening its first UK beauty boutique in Covent Garden on 24 July. The pop-up will house makeup artists, nail technicians and stylists, who will be on hand to translate the catwalk trends (and provide manicures in Chanel's must-have nail colours) for those in need of a quick makeup fix.
The best part? The brand will be launching makeup vending machines in the Autumn. We'll be saving our pennies (and stopping our chocolate addictions) until then.
