Hacker Shouts Abuse At Two-Year-Old Through Wireless Baby Monitor

A hacker was able to break into a wireless baby monitor and scream abuse at a two-year-old baby, according to media reports.

Marc and Lauren Gilbert in Texas said they walked into their baby room to hear a "British or European" voice screaming through the monitor at their daughter Allyson.

They said the voice called their daughter an "effing moron" and told it to "wake up you little sh*t".

"At that point I ran over and disconnected it and tried to figure out what happened," Mr Gilbert said. "I couldn't see the guy. All you could do was hear his voice and see that he was controlling the camera."

ABC News in the US reported the story. The news comes months after a widely reported flaw was discovered with Foscam products. The company issued an emergency fix in April, but it is unclear whether the update was applied to every unit automatically, or left to customers' discretion.
