McDonald's Restaurant Suffers Direct Hit From A Crane

Crashing In At The Drive-Through

A crane has toppled through the roof of a McDonald's restaurant while making a delivery.

The incident happened at the fast food giant's outlet in Consett, County Durham.

McDonald's customers were met with an unexpected sight

Brett Cooper, a 41-year-old geologist from Consett, said: "I'm not sure if it was lifting a freezer or an air con unit but it seems to have just gone over.

"Contractors have been working at the McDonald's so the drive-through has been closed but the restaurant was still open when it happened.

"There were people in there when the crane went through.

"I think they will need another crane to get it out."

It was not believed there were any injuries.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported
