Among all the interesting gadgets coming out of CES 2014, one of the weirdest in form, if not function, is this digital statue, which watches over you in a sort of benevolent state of rechargeable semi-panic.
Known as 'Mother', the device by Sen.se was on show at a press preview event. The idea is you place smaller devices called 'cookies' - which can track temperature and motion - on other objects like people, coffee machines, pets and so on, and use the Mother to track what happens to them.
With this device you can see how much exercise you get, how often you open your fridge, how much water your plants get - and anything in between.
The Mother uploads this all to the internet, giving you one place to track your stats.
Yes, it looks weird and we're still a bit vague on its real world usefulness. But if you've ever wanted a gadget that can give you a legitimate reason to hold Pyscho-style conversations with yourself, go nuts.
