A photojournalist caught the exact horrifying moment a woman was struck dead by lightning during a storm in São Paulo, Brazil.
Rogério Soares was taking pictures of a group of girls running towards the stormy sea when one was hit by a bolt.
Despite attempts to resuscitate the woman she was taken to ER where she was pronounced dead.
Soares said: "I was shooting in her direction. I followed her in and heard a very loud noise, an explosion and saw a light.

"I thought lightning had fallen on the car at first then I saw that it had hit her.
"It was total despair, people started running, call someone to help. Unfortunately, they could not revive her."
