Shoppers were given a royal welcome at the relaunch of a supermarket in Nottingham.

But dozens of fans who flocked to an Asda after hearing Prince Charles was opening the store, were left feeling "duped" after finding a baker with the same name cutting the ribbon instead.

He got to cut the ribbon after working for the company for 25 years.

But unhappy royalists were left less impressed.

Don Barton, 80, said: "Everybody had been saying he was coming - but it turns out it was just a cheap stunt to get them some publicity.

"I've travelled 10 miles to be here and I feel duped."
