A nine-week-old girl who went missing with her father from her home in the West Midlands, has been found 'safe and well'.

The baby's dad, Stuart Adams, 30, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

The baby, called Lana-Mai, went missing in the early hours of Monday morning, sparking a police hunt and appeal to the public to find the baby.

The search ended dramatically when Lana Mai was handed to CID officers by a woman in the same street she went missing, in Pleck, Walsall.

She was quickly taken to the town's Manor Hospital where it was confirmed she was safe and well. Mr Adams was arrested after a short police chase.

Chief Superintendent Dave Sturman said: "We would like to thank the people of Walsall and beyond for their help in this fast moving enquiry.

"I am relieved and pleased to be able to say that Lana-Mai is safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who helped share our appeal."
