In a brand new interview, Katie reveals she never did find out why the ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer wanted to divorce her, and claims that the pair have too much history to ever be close again.
Katie and Peter during happier times
She told Fabulous magazine: “I never wanted a divorce from Peter. That was his decision, not mine.
“He's never, to this day, told me the reason why [he wanted to split]. We don't speak. Too much has gone on. I'll never speak to him again.”
Katie and Peter first met during the third series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ back in 2004.
The pair were married in a lavish ceremony, and had two children together, Junior and Princess, before ultimately calling it a day and divorcing in 2009.
Speaking about her short-lived marriage to Alex, she admitted: “He was a mistake. A rebound relationship. I realised that pretty soon after I married him, and I got out of that marriage as fast as I could.”
However, the former glamour model has admitted that the reason she has been known to jump into relationships so quickly is because she doesn’t like being single.
“I can be bad ... When Pete left me, I was devastated and I went out drinking and partying.
"It was my way of melting down - I felt like everyone hated me and none of it was my decision. My life fell apart.”
Katie and her new husband Kieran Hayler
It seems like Katie has turned over a new leaf with her new relationship, and spent the past week in Cape Verde with her husband Kieran and children where she shared a number of family photos on her Twitter page.
She married Kieran, a builder and occasional stripper, last year in a shock wedding ceremony in the Caribbean. She gave birth to their first child together - and Katie's fourth overall - in August, a baby boy named Jett.
