DKNY Launches Its First Ever Ramadan Collection

DKNY Launches Its First Ever Ramadan Collection

DKNY has taken on a whole new creative direction and launched its first-ever Ramadan line.

The collection includes a range of pieces appropriate for the Muslim consumer market - and it's everything you'd expect from the American fashion house. On trend, comfortable and completely stylish.

Think loose maxi dresses, draped long-sleeves shirts, high necklines and luxe layering.

Take a look at these shots from the DKNY Ramadan Summer 2014 lookbook...

The collection, which will only be available for purchase in the Middle East, was designed by Tamara Al Gabbani and Yalda Golsharifi (fashion editor of Styles magazine).

These ladies know their audience and these designs - played down colourways, flattering fabrics and sweeping stylish silhouettes - are sure to be well received.

Bina Shah, a Pakistani commentator, has described the collection as,"Effortlessly chic, fresh, and elegant, and inspirational for Muslim women looking for ways to be glam and modest at the same time."

The campaign around the collection is fun, fresh and all about celebrating the festive summer spirit of Ramadan. Not only is it glossy and glamorous, but it encourages Muslim women to experiment with their style without violating any religious beliefs or dress codes in their community.

We love every look.
