There's something about a side parting that can really change a girl's image. Yes, it's a simple move (we're not talking anything too drastic here) but it's the kind of subtle difference that says effortless, sleek, stylish.
That probably explains why the style was so popular at the Autumn/Winter 2013 shows. From Calvin Klein in New York to Chloe and Lanvin in Paris, side partings were everywhere and the trend has become a favourite on the red carpet ever since.
The best thing about this look? It's versatile. At Chloe, hair was slick, glossy and super straight but partings don't have to be preppy.
At Lanvin, blotted berry lips were teamed with dishevelled ponytails while shorter styles were roughed up and swept over to the side.
