Sometimes, being a parent can feel like a mug's game – and here's the proof!
These fantastic 'mug shots' have become a hashtag trend after a mum blogger took a picture of her five-month-old baby seemingly peering out of a giant mug.
Ilana Wiles, who runs a site called Mommy Shorts, held a mug above her daughter Harlow as she lay on the floor, so that only her face could be seen bobbing above the rim.
"The result was what looked like a miniaturized baby actually hanging out in my morning cup of coffee," the New York-based, mother-of-two told the Huffington Post.
She uploaded the image to her blog, Facebook fanpage and Instagram account, appealing to readers to post their own versions along with the hashtag #babeinamug.
"Pretty soon my feed was full of hundreds of people posting #babeinamug pics," she explained.
Most of the photos feature one infant, but a number of parents managed to cram two of their well-behaved infants into a frame.
Some also photographed their children upside down, to make it seem as if they are plunging headfirst into the mug.
