From Edward Scissorhands to Willy Wonka, Johnny Depp has definitely had some fun in the costume department while playing his greatest characters. However, despite his ability to look great in eyeliner, we never had Depp down as a hair and makeup pro. Until now.
The Telegraph reports that the actor will be honoured at the 2014 Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards in February, for his collaboration with the beauty professionals on set.
Instead of receiving an award for his hair and makeup skills, Depp will be honoured for the way he wears whatever the artists throw at him. Yep, his beautiful face is finally getting a prize.
The guild president Susan Cabral-Ebert spoke to Stylelite about Depp's award.
"He, probably more than any other actor working today, uses the skills of our members to delineate his characters," she said. "Depp has constantly been an outstanding supporter of our crafts, ultimately respectful and appreciative of our members' abilities and generous with his creative collaboration."
Depp will be honoured at the Hollywood ceremony on 15 February. In the meantime, we'll leave you with one of Johnny's finest hair and makeup moments...
