1. Start by applying two coats of nail polish over the whole nail (Maxfactor's Mellow Yellow was used here).
2. Next, before the final coat is completely dry, apply an orange shade to the bottom third of your nail, smudging slightly into the yellow with a small nail sponge to create an ombre effect (Maxfactor's nail artist used Glossfinity Nail Polish in Flushed Rose).
3. To create the palm tree design, apply a black nail colour using a small nail brush to paint on the silhouette outline
4. Finish off with a slick of top coat.
