This Week You Should Try... Diptyque's First Skincare Range

Diptyque - the brand behind all those beautiful scented candles and fragrances - is launching a skincare range.

Anyone who is already a fan of Diptyque's products will probably have high hopes for this collection. And why wouldn't you? When it comes to moisturisers, masks etc, the French know their stuff.

After trying all five parts to this collection, I can say this: Diptyque's L'Art du Soin is definitely a range to invest in.

Why? These products are made with natural ingredients like rose, white lily and rice powder, they're gentle on the skin and the scent? It's amazing. Of course it is.

Yes, buying all five items is a little extravagant (and unnecessary.) Instead, pick one or two to fit into your beauty regime.

My two favourites are the Protective Moisturising Lotion - made with Damask rose and orange blossom - and the Nourishing Cleansing Balm. This waxy clay can be used in the morning for a quick pick-me-up or in the evening to remove makeup (you can even rub it into eyelashes to take off mascara.) It's a great multi-purpose cleanser and the sweet almond oil leaves the skin feeling refreshed and hydrated.

The other three products are just as good. The mineral-rich Infused Facial Water can be used in place of water alongside the other products and the Multi-Use Exfoliating Clay is one of the most delicate exfoliators you'll find.

Last but not least, the Radiance Boosting Powder should be mixed with water to create a cleanser. Use this over the balm if you're suffering from a dull complexion.

Diptyque's L'Art du Soin will be available from Diptyque at the end of February, priced £35 - £44.
