Cara Delevingne has made the Forbes list of highest-paid models for the first time ever after earning a cool $3.5 million (£2.1 million) in the last 12 months.

Other ladies who made their debut on this year's highest-paid models list include Kate Upton, who came joint third place with Kate Moss and Miranda Kerr earning $7 million (£4.2 million).

Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss both earned $4 million (£2.4 million) coming in fifth position alongside Natalia Vodianova and Carolyn Murphy.

Then Anja Rubik and Cara Delevingne came joint sixth both earning $3.5 million (£2.1 million).

But is was that Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen who led the model fleet by coming in at first position for earning $47 million (£28.2 million). She's been the highest paid supermodel in the world for the last seven years. Her daily earnings? £74,000.

The list measures earnings from June 2013 to June 2014 and it was American supermodel Kate Upton who brought in the most out of all the newcomers.

The 22-year-old model walked in the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014 catwalk during Paris Fashion Week, covered Vanity Fair's October 2013 100th Anniversary Issue, fronted the Sports Illustrated Calendar 2014 and is the face of Bobbi Brown's Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign.

Then there's the endless glossy magazine covers: Elle UK, British Vogue and Love Magazine to name a few.

Jourdan Dunn, who was discovered in a local Primark at 16-years-old, is the latest British supermodel taking over the fashion scene. In fact she earned more than her BFF Cara Delevingne (come on, they have matching tattoos).

Dunn's earnings reached $4 million (£2.4 million) after she landed some seriously high-profile gigs on the runway including Burberry's Spring/Summer 2014 catwalk during London Fashion Week. She covered the Miss Vogue April 2014 issue and teamed up with Cara for DKNY's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign. And that's not even the half of it.

In short, it pays to be this beautiful.
