Hurricane Marie spinning off Mexico's Pacific coast generated huge swells off the Californian coast on Wednesday, creating sensational conditions for surfers and body boarders, with onlookers crowding beaches to watch the show. The National Weather Service said beaches stretching 100 miles up the coast sent large waves and rip currents, while swimmers and surfers were urged to be aware of the dangerous conditions.
