A British expat who became a US television host has been shot dead by his son-in-law at his home in Louisiana.
Scott Rogers, 52, a former dance school teacher from Suffolk, was found shot dead in Iberville, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday.
Local police said that it appeared that the man, named in US reports as Mathew Hodgkinson - who is thought to be his son-in-law and also his former lover - had killed Around Town talkshow host Mr Rogers before turning the gun on himself in a failed suicide attempt.

Iberville sheriff Brett Stassi said: "This looks to be a murder and attempted suicide.
"Rogers was found with a single gun shot wound to the head and Mathew was on the floor with a gun shot wound to the head.
"He was still alive but only because of the angle of the gun when it was shot, otherwise it would have gone straight through his brain and he would probably be dead."
Mr Stassi said that Mr Hodgkinson was in a critical condition and being kept in a medically induced coma in hospital.
He described Mr Rogers as having celebrity status in Baton Rouge due to his television show.
Despite Mr Hodgkinson being married to Mr Rogers' biological daughter, Kimmy, the alleged suspect lived at the victim's home with him.
Reports in the US since the shooting have claimed Mr Rogers was responsible for a series of sex offences against boys, going back to his time in England during the last millennium.
