Supermodel Stumbles At New York Fashion Week

Models falling over on the runway is no new thing - it's all part of the learning curve. Yes, it can be painful and mortifying but the best of them jump back up and complete their turn on the catwalk.

That's exactly what this model on the Thakoon Spring/Summer 2015 runway did on Monday during New York Fashion Week.

Hats off to the model for brushing herself down after tripping on her polka dot maxi skirt and going down on her hands and knees to a front row that included US Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Project Runway judge Nina Garcia. Youch.

Note: a floor-length skirt and four-inch platform heels are tricky to saunter in, whether you're on the runway or just working the look on the high street.

Falling head over heels is bound to happen to regulars on the fashion circuit - if you ask us, it's how they earn their model stripes.

Even Naomi Campbell fell during a Vivienne Westwood show circa 1993 - proof that this awkward moment is bound to happen to every supermodel at least once during their career.

And Agyness Deyn? She fell TWICE during the Relief for Haiti catwalk fundraiser in 2010. At least she could laugh the whole thing off...
