Why Liberty Ross Has Forgiven Rupert Saunders For His Affair

British model and actress Liberty Ross has revealed she's forgiven her ex-husband, Rupert Saunders, for having an affair with Kristen Stewart back in 2012.

After the split Liberty, 35, got a pretty hefty pay-out from her divorce settlement and she's now in a relationship with American record and film producer Jimmy lovine, 61, pictured below.

The model has moved on - and she's even forgiven her ex for his inexcusable actions.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar she said, "People need to learn to forgive. I have no problem with anyone involved.

"I'm completely compassionate, I really am. No life is perfect, we all have our problems and issues and I believe that it's good to be true to who you are" she said.

Now if that's not a healthy attitude on life's learnings, we don't know what is. She's a stronger woman than we are.

Liberty also told the magazine: "Rupert and I were together since we were very, very young. I was 18--essentially, I married my first boyfriend. I always used to say we were more like a brother and sister anyway.

"We'd been together for so long, we weren't really evolving together as a couple so much."

Liberty and Rupert have two children together - Sykla, eight, and Tennyson, six - so it's understandable that the couple wanted to remain on good terms.

But that's not to say things weren't tough at the time of the split. Liberty braved the media glare throughout and, clearly, came out stronger.

"Unfortunately, we live in a world where everything is so overexposed that it's actually terrifying. I was horrified at how relentless and extraordinary going through something like that was," she added.

"I was able to go and be somewhere secluded for a good month. And then when school went back, I had no choice but to be as strong a woman as I could be for the children."

Ross also shared her positive outlook on relationships with Grazia.

"Trusting your gut is always the best thing - no matter what people around you insist you should be doing or saying or thinking," she told the magazine. "Only you know and once you live in truth your heart is completely free" she told the magazine.
