It's always difficult to get on board with next spring's beauty trends when we're just gearing up for autumn. However, if you like to stay on top of the trends, it's worth knowing what's round-the-corner on the hair and make up front.
From Chrissie Hynde-inspired haircuts at Tom Ford to sweaty skin (yes, really) at Teatum Jones, there was plenty of beauty inspiration on offer at the S/S 15 shows in London. These are a few of the trends to note:
Make up: Pink eyelids
Pink eyeshadow will be the beauty junkies' new best friend next season - and no, we're not talking Barbie's favourite shade. Instead, lilac-tinted hues were favoured on the catwalk in London for a more sophisticated pop of colour. Look to Matthew Williamson's show for inspiration, where make up artist Charlotte Tilbury used Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Always Bridesmaid.
Nails: Neat and nude
The normcore nail trend continued at the S/S 15 shows, with glossy, natural shades seen at Felder Felder and Julien Macdonald. Nail technician Glenis Baptiste used Eve Snow's delicate Nudist on the models at Emilia Wickstead "to complement the youthful reverie" in this collection.
Hair: Schoolgirl styles
Never before has hair looked been so fuss-free and next season, it's all about going back to school with simple, effortless styles. Backstage at Topshop hairstylist Anthony Turner told Style.com the hair was inspired by a "moody teenager." Instead of using a brush, Turner used his fingers to create a low side-parting and add "a little kink and separation." And if you're after something a little more grown-up? Bumble & Bumble's Chi Wong created a simple half-up, half-down do - the "imperfect half ponytail."
