Golden Globes 2015: 12 Of The Best Beauty Looks

Red carpet style is all about elegance but it wouldn't be complete without flawless hair and make up - something the leading ladies at this year's Golden Globes knew very well.

This year's standout hair trend? 1940s curls. Amy Adams, Jessica Chastain, Julianne Moore and Diane Kruger were just a few of the stars who embraced old school Hollywood glamour with this side-parted style.

But there were a few surprising hair moments, too. Jennifer Aniston tried out an updo (shock, horror), Katie Holmes showed off her hair extensions in a straight, sleek ponytail and Lupita Nyong'o revealed a brand new do. (Her dress choice was a little disappointing but her sparkly violet eye shadow is definitely a look to trial this spring.)

On the make up front, Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike wowed us with her glowing complexion while Keira Knightley and Allison Williams swapped statement-making red for a softer rose shade on the lips.
